I've been involved with The Phone Co-op as a customer, and member since its formation and continue to be its most successful agent. I'm also The Phone Co-op's longest serving Director, having been re-elected six times since joining the board in 1999. I'm a board representative on the Society's Ethical Policy Committee. I believe that The Phone Co-op's appeal can be attributed to our strong ethical policies, which are meaningful and not just 'window dressing'. However, we must not become complacent and I believe we should continue to improve our ethical stance, as well as increasing member involvement - a key element in a democratic organisation. I'm convinced that The Phone Co-op's success is the result of innovative management and the dedication of our hard working staff team. It is also a consequence of the board's sound financial policies, which I've taken a leading role in formulating over the past nine years. I am committed to ensuring that we continue to pursue these policies, without compromising our service to members and customers. |

Co-operatives work together to build a better world. To celebrate the UN International Year of Co-operatives 2012 we are giving one lucky person the chance to win free home phone and broadband services for a whole year. To find out more click here.
I cut my management teeth in the dairy industry, eventually leading a marketing team. My active involvement with the co-operative movement spans 25 years. I've been a director of several worker co-operatives, including Swindon Pulse Wholefoods and Highland Wholefoods in Inverness. I also have community work experience, having been a volunteer team-leader at Centrepoint night-shelter for homeless young people in London and a non-executive director of a residential care charity, City Roads (Crisis Intervention).
