Creating an e-mail account: Microsoft Outlook 2010

Start Outlook. Click on "File" in the menu bar and then on "Add Account"

Tick "Manually configure server settings or additional server types," and click "Next."

Select "Internet E-mail" and click "Next."

Enter:

  • Your name in "Your Name."
  • Your e-mail address in "E-mail Address."
  • pop3.phonecoop.coop in "Incoming mail server."
  • mail.phonecoop.coop in "Outgoing mail server (SMTP)," or smtp.adsl.coop if your broadband user name ends with @adsl.coop.
  • Your Phone Co-op provided user name in "User Name."
  • Your Phone Co-op provided password in "Password."

Make sure "Remember Password" is ticked.

Click on "Next."

Outlook will then test your settings. To complete the setup of your e-mail account, click "Close," then "Finish."

If you have more than one address, and want to make your Phone Co-op the default account for sending e-mails from, "File" in the menu bar, select your Phone Co-op account and then click on "Account Settings."

Highlight your Phone Co-op address in the list, then select "Set as Default," then click "Close."
