Running a speed test

If your broadband login name ends with @adsl.thephone.coop, @adsl.phonecoop.coop, @thephone.coop, or @surfdsluk, please go to this page for instructions on running a line test.

If you are experiencing slow speeds on your Phonecoop ADSL connection and your ADSL username takes the format:- This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Open your web browser and type in the following web address: http://internet-speedtest.net

You will then be taken to the LLU speed test site. To start the test click on "Begin Test".

The test will now calculate your download speed, followed by your upload speed.

When the test completes it will display both you download and upload speed and ask you to enter the telephone number of the adsl provisioned line you are testing.

Please enter the correct phone number so the result can be logged onto your account.

When checking the speed of your connection please run a series of 3 tests over the course of 24hrs so we can see how your connection is performing throughout the day. Then e-mail the results along with your ADSL username, postal address and ADSL enabled telephone number to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
