Nick has 15+ years’ experience in telecoms, including executive leadership experience with KCOM, where he led the Hull based KC business and Gradwell where he was CEO. With KC Nick turned around 5 years of revenue and customer decline, delivering growth across the triple bottom line of revenue margin, customer sentiment – NPS was transformed from -51 to 36 and staff satisfaction – winning multiple national & regional, brand, customer service and customer experience awards. In his role with Gradwell Nick turned the business into a cash generating enterprise, with EBITDA doubling alongside significant improvements in customer & staff satisfaction.
Additionally, Nick has been involved in Sports Management, leading Hull City across the 2012/13 & 2013/14 seasons, making him either Hull City’s most successful MD or MD during Hull City’s most successful period, depending on your perspective. Through his tenure he built strong links with supporter groups, introducing the Fan Liaison and Advisory Group, which he retains to this day. Whilst in Bath he led Bath City’s move to one member, one vote community ownership securing commitments to a new main stand and a community led stadium site redevelopment.
A highly commercial and strategically astute Chief Executive, Nick has specific strengths in growing sales and profitably in tandem with building strong customer and member relationships. Married with three children and two grandchildren he is an avid reader, usually at least four books on the go, a football fanatic and a movie buff.
