The Phone Co-op announced today the acquisition of Namesco's broadband services.

The agreement between The Phone Co-op and Namesco Ltd took effect on 31st May, with over 2,400 residential and business customers transferring to the independent consumer co-operative.

On joining The Phone Co-op, these customers will be able to access better broadband deals more competitively priced, as well as a wider range of services and packages to cover their communications needs, including landline calls and mobile. They will also receive technical support and advice from The Phone Co-op's UK-based Customer Services team.

Vivian Woodell, Chief Executive of The Phone Co-op, said: "We are delighted to welcome these new customers to The Phone Co-op. We are confident that our customer-focused approach, which stems from the fact that The Phone Co-op belongs to its customers, will appeal to the people who are moving to us. We offer a range of services in addition to broadband, including fixed line and mobile telephone services and a number of business connectivity services, and will be making these available to our new customers right away."
