We live in an ever changing world, with advances in technology influencing how we live, work and communicate. As BT work towards the end of their traditional telecommunication ‘backbone’ infrastructure in 2025, we’re here as the UK’s only co-operative telecoms provider, to help NCVO members navigate through potentially choppy waters ahead – by separating fact from fiction, and reality from rumour.
Nick Thompson, CEO of The Phone Co-op: “The demand for bandwidth keeps getting bigger, alongside that there is a sociological change in the way in which we communicate with each other. Over the last 10 -15 years we’ve seen a mobile explosion. We have more mobile devices than people in the UK, and we have moved from talking to texting, WhatsApp and Instagram. But people are still communicating with one another and that gives great opportunities.”
“As CEO of a member owned organisation, which has a customer base rooted in the Voluntary Sector, I would like to start a conversation with our fellow NCVO members to understand your ambitions and your concerns. I would like to build on those conversations to ensure that our future offerings are what the sector needs, not what people want to sell to the sector”.
As such, I'm offering an open invite to visit any charity, to have a coffee and a chat about the future.
